Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations on the shop floor, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, workforce management, and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and excellent team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers.
  • Ensure production targets are met as per the schedule and quality standards.
  • Monitor and optimize resource utilization (manpower, machines, materials).
  • Maintain documentation related to production, quality, and daily reports.
  • Implement 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Planning departments to resolve issues.
  • Train and motivate workers to improve productivity and reduce rework/rejection.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Analyse production data and suggest improvements to enhance output.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–3 years in a manufacturing/engineering industry, preferably in sheet metal or fabrication.

Technical Exposure:

  • Hands-on experience working with M.S., S.S., G.I., and structural materials.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing standards.
  • Familiar with production planning and shop floor control systems.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Good understanding of production processes, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and TPM practices.
